A woman is suing a trucking company and its driver after a collision left her injured.
Lavette Bulter filed a lawsuit July 30 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Schneider National Carriers Inc., Rene Paul Karteron and Charles Armstead Jr., citing negligence.
The lawsuit states the trucking company owned the tractor trailer driven by Karteron on June 1, 2013, when it collided with a car where Butler was a passenger as the truck attempted to turn left from West Pontoon Road in Granite City. Butler suffered severe injury and mental anguish over the incident, the complaint states.
Butler is seeking in excess of $75,000 plus costs. She is represented by attorney Thomas Q. Keefe Jr. of Belleville.
