A woman is suing over claims her late husband's business is owed more than $60,000.
Billie Jo Derham filed a lawsuit July 25 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Sustainable Construction Group LLC, also known as Sustainable Contracting Group LLC, and John O'Leary.
According to the complaint, Derham's husband owned a company called Applied Polymer Technologies LLC, which loaned O'Leary's company, Sustainable Construction Group, $30,000 on July 27, 2009, $26,000 on July 13, 2010, and $4,000 on April 7, 2010. The complaint says Sustainable Construction is also indebted to Applied Polymer for $4,000 in supplies, and has only paid $4,000 of the accrued debt. Derham says her husband passed away in 2010, and she acquired his interest in Applied Polymer Technologies LLC.
Derham is seeking the more than $66,400 owed plus interest and attorney's fees. She is being represented in the case by attorney James M. Drazen in Troy.
