Madison accident results in head, neck and shoulder injuries, suit says

A woman has filed suit against the driver she claims struck the side of her vehicle.

Doris Rogers filed suit July 16 in the Madison County Circuit Court against William Behrmann.

According to the complaint, Rogers was driving south on McCambridge Avenue in Madison on April 30, when defendant Behrmann, who was driving west on Rhodes Street, struck the side of her vehicle. Because of the collision, Rogers was made sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled, received head, neck and shoulder injuries and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint. She also suffered disability, experienced pain and suffering and lost wages, the suit states.

Behrmann negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, struck the side of Rogers’s vehicle, failed to properly apply his brakes, drove too fast and failed to yield the right-of-way, the complaint says.

Rogers is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is being represented by attorneys Thomas C. Rich, Kristina D. Cooksey and Michelle M. Rich of Fairview Heights.

Madison County Circuit Court case number 14-L-990.
