A Minnesota corporation claims an Illinois company owes it more than $70,000 for materials.
MacArthur Co., doing business as Insulation Plus, filed a lawsuit July 11 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Home Guard Exteriors LTD.
The plaintiff alleges it sold building products to Home Guard Exteriors on an open account. Home Guard Exteriors purchased products on the account from July 22, 2013, through Nov. 26, 2013, according to the complaint.
Since then Home Guard Exteriors has failed to pay for the products, the suit states. After credit is given for payments made by defendant, the balance due and owing by the defendant to the plaintiff is $77,833.74, the complaint says.
In addition to the money it claims Home Guard Exteriors owes it, MacArthur seeks attorney’s fees and costs.
It is being represented by attorney Neil Schonert of Heyl, Royster, Voelker and Allen in Urbana.
Madison County Circuit Court case number 14-L-979.
