A man says he sustained neck, shoulder and back injuries after a driver rear-ended his vehicle.
Brendan Hanrahan filed a lawsuit June 20 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Victoria Lindsay.
In his complaint, Hanrahan alleges he drove north on South Lincoln Avenue in O’Fallon on March 7 when Lindsay, who was driving in the same direction, struck the back of his vehicle.
Because of the collision, Hanrahan became sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled, suffered neck, shoulder and back injuries and incurred medical costs, the suit states. He also experienced pain and suffered and lost wages, the complaint says.
Hanrahan blames Lindsay for causing the collision, saying she negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, struck the back of Hanrahan’s vehicle, failed to properly apply her brakes, drove too fast and followed Hanrahan’s vehicle too closely.
Hanrahan is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs. He is being represented by Thomas C. Rich, Kristina D. Cooksey and Michelle M. Rich of Fairview Heights.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number 14-L-513.
