The owner of a Cessna airplane has filed a complaint in replevin against West Star Aviation, seeking the return of its property.
TWB LLC filed suit May 22 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Premier Air Center Inc., doing business as West Star Aviation Inc.
According to the complaint, West Star Aviation detained the Cessna plane without legal authority to do so. Although TWB has demanded return of the airplane, West Star Aviation has refused to comply with the request, according to the complaint.
The value of the property is $150,000, the suit states. However, since the amount in dispute is no more than $30,000, a bond in the amount of $60,000 would be appropriate, the petition states.
TWB is seeking possession of the property, plus value of the property that was not delivered and damages. It is being represented by Michael A. Vitale of Herzog Crebs in St. Louis.
