A man has filed suit against the alleged perpetrator he claims attacked him after ingesting alcohol.
Billy J. Rose filed suit May 14 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Skyriders Motor Club and Dean W. Tiepelman Sr.
According to the complaint, Rose was visiting defendant Skyrider’s Motor Club in Livingston on June 23, when defendant Tiepelman assaulted him without provocation. Because of the incident, Rose suffered injuries, experienced pain and suffering and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint.
In addition to Tiepelman, Rose names Skyrider’s Motor Club as a defendant, saying it negligently allowed Tiepelman to use excessive force and failed to provide a safe place for patrons to eat and socialize.
Rose is seeking a judgment of more than $200,000, plus costs, attorney’s fees and interest. He will be represented by Edward W. Unsell and Janel L. Freeman of East Alton.
