Regions Bank filed a lawsuit May 15 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against R&J Sports Page Inn, Ralph Schneider and Janis L. Schneider claiming they have failed to repay it more than $100,000.
In its complaint, Regions Bank alleges it lent R&J money, which is secured by a mortgage for property at 2635 Old State Route 3 in East Carondelet. It lent the money April 11, 2001, according to the complaint. Since then, R&J has refused to make promised payments, the suit states. In addition, the Schneiders failed to repay the loan, the bank claims.
As a result of defendants’ failure to make the promised payment, under the note, the plaintiff has been injured in the amount of $116,805.29, plus accrued interest, attorney fees and costs, the complaint says.
In addition to the money it claims R&J owes it, Regions Bank seeks interest, attorney’s fees and costs. It is being represented by Dennis A. Dressler and David A. Wargula of Dressler Peters in Chicago.
