Fox River Foods claims eateries failed to pay for food

A food supply company has filed suit against the restaurants it claims failed to pay it more than $70,000 for food it supplied to the eateries.

Fox River Foods filed April 30 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Orham Celik, doing business as Frank’s Restaurant and doing business as Harvest Restaurant.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff supplied the defendants with food from March 25, 2009, through March 12, 2012. During that time, the restaurants incurred bills of $78,200.25, according to the complaint.

Although Fox River Foods has demanded payment for the food, the restaurants have failed to repay it, the suit states.

In addition to the money it claims it is owed, Fox River Foods is seeking interest at the rate of 18 percent per annum, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.

Madison County Circuit Court case number 14-L-648.
