Swansea collision leads to St. Clair County suit

A woman claims her earning capacity has been seriously diminished after a driver struck her vehicle at an intersection.

Michele Jackson filed suit April 21 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Maxwell C. Harres.

According to the complaint, Jackson was driving at the intersection of Morgan Street and Boul Avenue in Swansea on Jan. 17 when the defendant, who was driving at the same intersection, ran into her vehicle.

Because of the collision, Jackson’s earning capacity has been severely diminished.

Jackson is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just. She is being represented by Gregory M. Tobin of Pratt and Tobin in East Alton.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number 14-L-299.
