Woman blames injuries sustained in rear-end collision on driver

A woman claims she suffered extensive head and body injuries after a driver struck her vehicle.

Rose M. Pawloski filed a lawsuit March 26 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Theodore J. Evans.

In her complaint, Pawloski claims she drove east on Mitchell Lane when she stopped at its intersection with Foley Drive in Belleville on March 30, 2012. Suddenly, Evans, who was driving east on Mitchell Lane, rear-ended Pawloski’s vehicle, according to the complaint.

In addition to her injuries, Pawloski incurred medical costs, suffered disability and experienced pain and suffering, the suit states.

Evans negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to keep his vehicle under proper control and failed to properly apply his brakes, the complaint says.

Pawloski is seeing a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is being represented by Patrick R. Foley of Williams, Caponi and Foley in Belleville.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number 14-L-241.
