Woman accuses driver of failing to keep proper lookout

A woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims struck her vehicle, causing her to sustain head, neck, shoulder, back, arm, wrist, abdomen and knee injuries.

Danielle M. Dolosic filed a lawsuit March 7 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Morgan J. Hermanson.

According to the complaint, Dolosic was driving on east U.S. Route 40 in Madison on March 27, 2012, when the defendant, who was driving north on Springvalley Road, collided with Dolosic’s vehicle.

In addition to her injuries, Dolosic incurred significant medical costs and has been unable to work, according to the complaint.

Dolosic blames Hermanson for causing the collision, saying she negligently failed to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic, failed to exercise the highest degree of care and failed to keep a careful lookout, among other negligent acts.

Dolosic is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus court costs. She will be represented by Michael P. McGinley of Lashly and Baer in St. Louis.

Madison County Circuit Court case number 14-L-362.
