St. Clair County woman accused of failing to repay student loans

A lender claims a St. Clair County woman failed to repay the more than $50,000 in student loans she borrowed.

Jefferson Capital Systems filed a lawsuit March 3 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Megan N. Kendrick.

In its complaint, Jefferson Capital Systems alleges it lent Kendrick $9,812 on June 27, 2005, $10,843 on May 16, 2006, $5,457 on Feb. 8, 2007, and $10,500 on Oct. 1, 2007.

Since then, Kendrick has failed to repay the money, according to the complaint.

In addition to the money it claims Kendrick owes it, Jefferson Capital Systems is seeking court costs. It is being represented by Ronald Rosenfeld of Firsel Law Group in Lombard.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number 14-L-183.
