A woman claims she suffered neck and back injuries after a driver rear-ended her vehicle.
Rebecca Duncan filed a lawsuit March 3 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Jeannette Parsons.
In her complaint, Duncan alleges she drove a 2005 Chrysler 300 on North Bluff Road near its intersection with Eastport Plaza in Collinsville on March 25, 2012, when Parsons, who drove a 2002 Chrysler Sebring in the same direction, struck the back of Duncan’s vehicle.
In addition to her injuries, Duncan suffered great pain and mental anguish, endured disability and lost her normal life, according to the complaint that alleges she also incurred medical costs and property damages.
Duncan blames Parsons for failing to keep her vehicle under proper control, for failing to keep a proper lookout, for failing to stop in time to avoid a collision, for failing to give a proper signal and for failing to reduce her speed to avoid a collision.
Duncan is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is being represented by Michael P. Glisson of Williamson, Webster, Falb and Glisson in Alton.
