A financing service claims a printing company owes it nearly $200,000 for a lease on office equipment.
CIT Technology Financing Services filed a lawsuit Feb. 20 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Mike’s American Speedy Printing, doing business as Allegra Print and Imaging in O'Fallon.
In its complaint, CIT alleges it took control of a lease in which Allegra was allowed to borrow office equipment. Originally, Konica Minolta Premier Finance had begun the lease on Sept. 14, 2012, according to the complaint. Since July 31, 2012, Allegra has not made its required lease payments to CIT, the suit states.
As a result of defendant’s alleged breach there is a balance owing of $189,660.23 plus interest, fees and costs, the complaint says.
In addition to the money it claims Allegra owes it, CIT seeks interest, fees, costs, attorney’s fees and other relief the court deems just.
They are being represented by Michael P. Kabat of Noonan and Lieberman in Chicago.
