A driver is facing a lawsuit after colliding with another vehicle on Highway 161.
Antonia J. Williams filed a lawsuit Jan. 16 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Jeremy W. Cox.
According to the complaint, Williams was driving her vehicle on Sept. 1 westbound on Highway 161 at the intersection with Frank Scott Parkway. At the time, the plaintiff had a green light and entered the intersection when a vehicle driven by the defendant, while attempting to make a left turn at the intersection, collided with Williams. The plaintiff is accusing Cox of failing to keep a lookout and negligently operating his vehicle, resulting in the collision and injuring Williams.
Williams is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs. She is being represented in the case by attorney Christopher K. Geldmacher.
