Apple Cleaners and driver blamed for pedestrian's injuries

A man is suing after being struck by a cleaning company van operated by an employee.


Sudhasriniva Anne filed a lawsuit Dec. 27, in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Apple Cleaners Inc., New York Cleaners Inc., and Josh Glen.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 6, 2011, Anne, while walking, was hit by an Apple Cleaners company vehicle operated by Glen, an employee of Apple Cleaners and New York Cleaners. The plaintiff says he sustained injuries including intracranial hemorrhage and skull and clavicle fractures, among others.

Anne is seeking more than $50,000 in damages.

He is being represented in the case by attorney Gregory L. Shevlin of Cook, Ysursa, Bartholomew, Brauer & Shevlin Ltd.
