O'Fallon rear-end collision results in lawsuit

Jeffrey P. Johnson filed a lawsuit Dec. 17 in the Circuit Court of St. Clair County 20th Judicial Circuit against Ryan J. Morse and Mark E. Morse.


According to the complaint, on June 18, 2012, the plaintiff was driving his motor vehicle southbound on South Smiley Street in O'Fallon when he was stopped behind a vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn.

At the same time, defendant Ryan J. Morse was distracted while driving on South Smiley Street and he drove his vehicle into the rear of Johnson's vehicle, according to the complaint. Defendant Mark E. Morse is the owner of the vehicle driven by Ryan J. Morse. Johnson suffered injury as a result of the collision, according to the complaint.

Johnson is seeking more than $50,000 in damages.

He is being represented in the case by attorney Hrant Norsigian Jr.

St. Clair County Circuit Court Case No. 13-L-622.
