A woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims rear-ended her vehicle.
Kimberly Suhany claims she was driving on Illinois 157 and was preparing to turn onto North Illinois Route 3 on Jan. 26, 2012, when defendant Deana Medford, who was driving in the same direction, collided with the back of her vehicle.
Because of the collision, Suhany suffered back, neck, ankle and shoulder injuries; experienced great physical pain; and sustained an impaired function of her body parts, according to the complaint filed Dec. 12 in St. Clair County Circuit Court. She also incurred medical costs, the suit states.
Medford negligently drove too fast, failed to keep a proper lookout ahead and failed to warn of her impending approach, the complaint says.
In her complaint, Suhany is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000.
She will be represented by Lane Matthews of Brown and Crouppen in St. Louis.
