925 Wallace in Alton Frances Goree filed a personal injury suit against Major Real Estate Company of Alton, alleging that she was injured at one of its rental properties.

Pot handle comes loose, woman sues Wal-Mart for burns
Krystal Blacknell filed a personal injury lawsuit against Wal-Mart claiming her leg was burned after a two-handled pot containing boiling water broke while she lifted it from the stove.
Raiload worker files FELA case in federal court
A former trackman for BNSF Railway filed a Federal Employee Liability Act suit in federal court Nov. 10 alleging it failed to provide him a reasonably safe place to work.
Toxic exposure caused respiratory disease, says railroad electrician
Arthur Layton filed a Federal Employee Liability Act (FELA) suit in Madison County circuit Court Nov. 14 seeking damages in excess of $200,000 for injuries allegedly received while working for Illinois Central Railroad.
Famous-Barr sued for escalator injury
Famous-Barr at St. Clair Square in Fairview Heights Sarah Kincaid filed a personal injury law suit against Famous-Barr claiming she was violently jerked forward while descending a motionless escalator at the Fairview Heights store on Nov. 16, 2003.

Madison County Circuit Court Chief Judge Ed Ferguson changed assignments of associate judges and courtrooms effective Dec. 5. The new assignments for the following judges are as follows:
