EDWARDSVILLE – A woman is suing a Granite City QuikTrip after allegedly slipping and injuring herself in the parking lot.

Plaintiff Theresa Branch filed the lawsuit in the Madison County Circuit Court against QuikTrip Corporation and Realty Income Properties Two, LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the lawsuit, on April 14, 2018, Branch was a patron at a QuikTrip location in Granite City. Branch claims that while she was on the premises, she slipped on a slick surface in the parking lot and fell, injuring herself.

According to Branch, the defendants negligently failed to properly maintain the premises to protect the safety of its customers.

Branch alleges she sustained injuries that have caused her to experience pain, suffering and mental anguish. She adds that she has incurred medical expenses and will continue to require the services of medical staff to recover.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $25,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. She is represented in this case by attorney Thomas E. Hildebrand in Granite City.
