Heplerbroom issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.
Andrew Carruthers has been appointed an Associate Judge for the 3rd Judicial Circuit in Illinois. The circuit encompasses both Bond and Madison Counties.
For nearly seven years, Carruthers had a vibrant practice at HeplerBroom related to real estate transactions, municipal issues, business disputes, and election matters. For the past year, he has served the public as Chief of the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Civil Division. In speaking of Carruthers’ appointment, Madison County State’s Attorney Tom Haine (also a former HeplerBroom attorney) noted Carruthers’ “integrity and . . . passion for the rule of law.” Carruthers will be sworn in on January 3.
