BELLEVILLE – A St. Clair County woman is suing a man for allegedly running a stop sign and causing a collision.

Lori Todesco filed the complain in St. Clair County Circuit Court on Feb. 19 against defendant Kyle Lenz, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Tedesco was driving near the intersection of Carlyle Avenue and Radio Range Road in St. Clair County on Nov. 13, 2018, when her vehicle was struck by Lenz’s vehicle. She alleges Lenz failed to stop at a stop sign, did not look for other cars in or near the intersection, and failed to brake to prevent the wreck.

Tedesco claims she suffered severe injuries to her back, neck, head, ribs, shoulders and knees as a result of the crash and incurred current and future medical expenses. She alleges she is unable to work at her job due to the injuries.

The plaintiff is seeking $50,000 in damages from Lenz plus the costs of the legal action.

She is represented by Leah A. Captain of Cook, Bartholomew, Shevlin & Cook in Belleville.
