EDWARDSVILLE – A man has filed suit against his former Hamel employer over allegations that he was terminated for reporting illegal activities.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 31, 2012, he was terminated from his employment with VSE Corp after he allegedly reported illegal activities to his supervisors. The illegal activities include co-employees using illegal drugs, taking kickbacks and taking company money for their own personal use, the suit states.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of the suit and any further relief as the court deems just and proper.
