An East Alton mobile home company is demanding a jury trial in a case brought by a man who claims he fell through a subfloor.

Madison County Circuit Judge Andreas Matoesian was assigned to the case and has set a case management conference for Oct. 30 at 9 a.m.

Jeremy C. Gallup filed the complaint against Airline Mobile Home Village, Inc. on July 29. He claims he visited a tenant on Jan. 31 in the mobile home on Evelyn Lane in East Alton, which is owned by Airline Mobile Home Village.

According to the complaint, Gallup says he was walking across the bedroom floor when the subfloor beneath the carpet “suddenly and without warning, collapsed and gave way” causing him to trip and fall, injuring his left knee.

Airline Mobile Home Village denied the allegations to the complaint on Aug. 23. It also asked that the plaintiff be assessed the costs of the suit.

Andrea D. McNairy of St. Louis represents Gallup.
