Madison County Chief Judge David Hylla has scheduled a case management conference for Oct. 30 at 9:30 for an accident allegedly caused by a Madison County Public Administrator employee.

Michael and Michelle Timmons claim public employee Neil Hopkins crossed the center lane on Jan. 20 and struck the front of the Timmons’ vehicle, causing them to suffer head, neck, back, chest and shoulder injuries.

In addition to their injuries, the Timmons claim they became sick, sore, disordered and disabled.

The suit alleges Hopkins negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to properly apply his brakes, drove too fast, failed to decrease his speed because of weather conditions, failed to drive entirely in the right-hand lane, drove on the wrong side of the road and failed to decrease his speed when approaching the crest of a hill.

The Timmonses seek more than $100,000.

Thomas C. Rich, Kristina D. Cooksey and Michelle M. Rich of Fairview Heights are representing the Timmonses.

An attorney for the defendant has not been given.
