A St. Clair County man is accused of causing a crash as he pulled away from an O'Fallon gas station.
Bryan Trucker filed a lawsuit against Jerikah Lyerla June 21 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Trucker says he was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix on Old Collinsville Road in October 2012. As he neared the intersection of Highway 50, Trucker alleges Lyerla, driving a Chevrolet Blazer, pulled out of Huck's gas station and tried to turn left onto Old Collinsville Road. Trucker claims he was unable to avoid crashing into Lyerla's Blazer. He says he was seriously hurt in the collision.
Trucker accuses Lyerla of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court fees.
Attorney Kevin Boyne of Belleville represents Trucker.
