Car accident interferes with woman's ability to enjoy life, suit claims

A woman claims she sustained injuries to her back, neck and left shoulder while her minor son received injuries to his right foot after a driver struck their vehicle.

Ladonna Sintrail filed a lawsuit March 8 in St. Clair County Circuit Court on behalf of herself and her minor son, Brandon Brocksmith, against Misha Bean.

Sintrail claims she parked a vehicle at 3104 Belleview Ave. Meanwhile, Bean backed her vehicle down a driveway, onto Belleview Avenue and into Sintrail's vehicle, according to the complaint. The collision forced Sintrail's vehicle into a third vehicle parked behind her car, the suit states.

In addition to their injuries, Sintrail and Brocksmith suffered pain, discomfort and an interference with their ability to enjoy life because of the collision, the complaint says. Sintrail claims she also incurred medical costs and lost wages.

Sintrail blames Bean for causing the accident, saying she allowed her vehicle to come into contact with Sintrail's, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to yield the right-of-way and failed to yield or sound warning of her approach.

In the three-count suit, Sintrail seeks a judgment of more than $150,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.

Scott L. Kolker of Kolker and Germeroth of Clayton will be representing her.
