CitiFinancial Services filed a breach of contract suit against Tina and John Sorge alleging they failed to make monthly loan payments as promised.
According to the complaint filed Oct. 14 in Madison County, the Sorges borrowed $9,940.17 on June 19, and promised to make 60 monthly payments totaling $17,298.63.
CitiFinancial claims the Sorges failed to make the required monthly payments and as of Oct. 7, a principal amount of $10,936 is due to them.
In addition to the principal, CitiFinancial is seeking interest accruing under the terms of the agreement and $500 in attorney fees.
J. Gregory Scott of Decatur is representing CitiFinancial.
The case is awaiting mandatory arbitration.
