A Belleville woman has filed suit against a man, alleging her back and hip were injured after a rear-end collision.
Brenda Grissom was driving on South Illinois Street at the intersection of South Belt in Belleville on Nov. 13, 2006, when John Keck rear-ended her, according to a complaint filed Oct. 1 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Because of the accident, Grissom was made sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled and suffered extensive injuries to her head, body and limbs.
She claims she also received injuries to her back, hip and the soft tissues of her cervical, shoulder and lumbar area.
Grissom has become responsible for medical costs and has experienced pain and suffering, according to the complaint.
Keck was negligent because he failed to keep a proper lookout, drove in a manner to cause the collision, failed to keep his vehicle in proper control and failed to apply his brakes, the suit states.
Grissom is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
James R. Williams of Williams, Caponi, Foley & Eckert in Belleville will be representing her.
