Robert Polson, Mary Polson v. Cottrell Inc., Jack Cooper Transportation, General MotorsPolson, a Missouri resident and employee of Jack Cooper Transportation, alleges that he was injured while performing his normal work activites using a ratchet, idler, hook and chain. Cottrell Inc. of Gainsville, Ga. was allegedly the manufacturer of the rig Polson was operating.

Gingrich alleges that Stephanie Sudholt, the office manager for Dr. James Dalla Riva entered her office on Nov. 3, 1997, and loudly shouted, "Dr. Gingrich is a thief and is going to have her medical license taken away." Gingrich alleges that as a result of that comment she has experenced personal humiliation, mental anguish and impairment of her reputation and standing in the community. She filed an 11-count suit and is seeking damages well over $2 million
