A motorist has sued another driver he alleges caused a motor vehicle accident that led to injuries.
John H. Barnes filed a lawsuit March 5 in Madison County Circuit Court against Elizabeth K. Venardos.
According to the complaint, on May 26, 2014, at College Avenue and Statehouse Circle in Alton, Venardos' Ford truck hit Barnes' 2006 Chevrolet, resulting in injuries. The suit says the plaintiff was made sick, sore, lame and disordered, and she suffered extensive injuries.
Barnes seeks in excess of $50,000, plus costs. He is represented by attorney Rodney D. Caffey of the Caffey Law Firm in Godfrey.
