Sharon Weaver-O'Brien filed a medical malpractice suit against Swansea based Ear, Nose & Throat Institute of Southern Illinois in St. Clair County Circuit Court Dec. 9, seeking damages in excess of $250,000.
Sport Trac roll-over leads to suit against Ford
A St. Clair County man who claims he was left paraplegic after a roll-over accident in his 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac is suing Ford Motor Co. for at least $400,000.
Improperly placed mat culprit in $50k suit against Family Dollar
A woman who was injured while shopping at the Belleville Family Dollar filed suit against the retailer alleging it failed to use ordinary care to remove an improperly placed mat, which caused her serious permanent injuries.
St. Louis Bread Co. sued over icy fall
Linda Graff filed a personal injury suit against Panera Bread Company in St. Clair County Circuit Court Dec. 12, seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for injuries she allegedly received at a Belleville restaurant on Jan. 31, 2004.

Circuit Judge George Moran Madison County Circuit Judge George Moran Jr., 57, is not seeking judicial retention in the November 2006 general election.
Defendants remove personal injury suit to federal court
O'Reilly Auto Parts O'Reilly Auto Parts and air compressor manufacturer, Wilmar Corp., have removed a Madison County personal injury suit to federal court, claiming diversity of citizenship. Wilmar is based in Washington and O'Reilly in Missouri.
