Woman injured in crash with Canadian truck

A woman says she was injured when a truck owned by a Canadian firm struck her from behind.

Jodi Renee Sprehe filed a lawsuit Nov. 15 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Potenza Enterprizes Inc. and Allison Farr.

Sprehe says she was driving north on Interstate 55 in St. Clair County on May 5 when she was struck from behind by a 2006 Freightliner truck operated by Farr with Ontario, Canada, plates. The truck is owned by the Canadian company, Potenza Enterprizes.

She says the truck driver negligently failed to keep a proper lookout or properly control her vehicle. She further claims the truck driver carelessly struck her vehicle from behind.

Sprehe says she was disable in the crash and suffered soft-tissue injuries, pain, mental anguish and lost wages.

In her complaint, Sprehe seeks more than $50,000 plus costs on both counts

Attorney Thmas Q. Keefe Jr., will be representing her.
