Another personal injury suit has been filed against the operator of an Edwardsville movie theater.
Gina Brown filed a complaint against American Multi-Cinema Inc. on Jan. 17 in Madison County Circuit Court, claiming she was injured as a result of defendant's negligence.
According to Brown, she was attending a movie at the theater located at 6633 Center Grove Road in Edwardsville, when she slipped, fell and was injured.
Her complaint does not specify when the accident occurred or what she slipped on. Brown is generally accusing American of failing to provide a safe walkway for pedestrians.
Brown says her injuries required her to expend large amounts on medical treatment.
She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is being represented by attorney David W. Dugan of East Alton.
In a separate lawsuit filed on Jan. 15, plaintiff Sandra Ussery claims the theater and various co-defendants are liable for injuries she sustained slipping on ice outside the theater.
