Lawsuits
Car accident 28

EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist alleges another driver caused an Alton crash when she failed to yield the right of way.

Samantha Reynolds filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Stephanie Hill, alleging she failed to keep her vehicle under proper control.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 9, she was operating a vehicle on Alby Street at its intersection with Center Drive in Alton when the defendant allegedly caused a collision.

Reynolds claims she sustained injuries to her neck, head, face, jaw and back and incurred large sums of money in medical bills.

The plaintiff holds Hill responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain a careful lookout, failed to yield the right of way and failed to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of suit. She is represented by Jane Unsell of Unsell, Schatnik & Phillips PC in Wood River.
