Trans Union and Bank of Missouri did not accurately report debt, federal lawsuit says

BENTON — An Edwardsville resident accuses Trans Union and a bank of inaccurate reporting.

LaShawn Coleman filed a complaint on July 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois against Trans Union LLC and The Bank of Missouri, alleging that they violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff noticed an errant debt reported on her Trans Union credit report. As a result, the complaint states, she has suffered credit and undue stress. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory and punitive damages. She is represented by Steven O. Ross of Steven O. Ross PC in Chicago.
