EDWARDSVILLE — A Monroe County man faces a lawsuit over an accident off Interstate 270.

Maricela Alexandersson filed a complaint on Aug. 28 in Madison County Circuit Court against Christopher Dryoff, alleging that the driver breached his duty to exercise ordinary care on the roadway.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff, a passenger in a vehicle driven by her husband, was stopped on an exit ramp off Interstate 270 when Dryoff struck the rear of their vehicle. She suffered injuries to her neck and back and along the skin, joints, muscles and nerves, the complaint states. The plaintiff alleges Dryoff did not keep a proper lookout and failed to apply brakes before hitting the vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000. She is represented by Christopher W. Dysart of the Dysart Law Firm PC in Chesterfield.
