EDWARDSVILLE — A mother and son blame a doctor and his practice after the child allegedly suffered a brain injury during birth.
Julie Christian-White, on behalf of her son Chase White, filed a complaint on July 30 in Madison County Circuit Court against Dr. Joseph Talsky, Fairview Heights Medical Group SC and OSF Healthcare System.
According to the complaint, the defendants assumed care of Christian-White for her labor and the delivery of her son. Christian-White alleges the defendants failed to properly and timely deliver Chase, causing him to suffer a brain injury.
As a result, Chase suffers permanent pain, mental anguish, disability and loss of future life, the complaint states.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against each defendant for more than $25,000, plus costs. They are represented by Thomas Q. Keefe of Keefe, Keefe & Unsell in Belleville.
