BELLEVILLE — A man who was allegedly injured in a Fairmont City crash is suing the driver he holds responsible.
Jesse Rodriguez filed a complaint on May 23 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Paula Boone, alleging she failed to keep her vehicle under proper control.
According to the complaint, Rodriguez was turning at an intersection in Fairmont City on Aug. 29, 2017, when Boone allegedly hit the front of his vehicle.
Rodriguez claims he sustained injuries to his back and shoulder, resulting in disability, pain and suffering.
The plaintiff alleges Boone failed to maintain a careful lookout, failed to properly apply the brakes and failed to yield the right of way.
Rodriguez is requesting a jury trial and seeking damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of the lawsuit.
