BELLEVILLE — A motorist is suing another driver for allegedly causing a collision on Lebanon Avenue.

Michael Schreffer filed a complaint on May 11 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Kelly Tipton, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 13, he was traveling on Lebanon Avenue and Freemont Street when Tipton collided with his vehicle.

Schreffer claims he sustained injuries and damages resulting in pain, suffering, medical expenses and lost wages.

The plaintiff alleges Tipton failed to keep sufficient lookout, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and failed to reduce speed or stop to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of not less than $50,000, plus any other relief deemed proper and just.

He is represented by Blake G. Meinders of Blake G. Meinders Attorney At Law in Belleville.
