BELLEVILLE — A driver claims she was seriously injured in a crash in East St. Louis.

Betty Bigby filed a complaint April 11 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Corey A. Yap Chung and Project: Worldwide Inc., alleging Chung failed to keep his vehicle under proper control.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 12, she was injured when the side of her vehicle was struck by the vehicle driven by defendant Chung, who was working for Worldwide.

She claims she suffered serious injuries to her head, neck, back, pelvis, legs and left shoulder in the East St. Louis crash.

The plaintiff alleges Chung carelessly drove his vehicle in an unsafe manner by driving it too fast and by attempting to cross an intersection when it was not safe to do so.

The plaintiff seeks a judgment against the defendants in an amount between $50,000 and $75,000, plus costs of court.

She is represented by Steven A. Katzman of Katzman & Sugden LLC in Belleville.
