Supreme Quality and Drywall alleges failure to pay for completed work

EDWARDSVILLE — A subcontractor is suing a general contractor and insurer, citing alleged breach of contract.

Supreme Quality and Drywall LLC filed a complaint March 8 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Contegra Construction Co. and Travelers Property Casualty Insurance Co. of America, alleging they failed to perform their contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the plaintiff provided labor and materials for the defendants for storm damage reconstruction work in the total amount of $3,125,201.51. After some payments, the amount of $839,972.80 remains due. 

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay the full amount due under the subcontract agreement.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in the amount of $839,972.80, plus interest, attorney's fees, and all further relief as the court deems just and proper.
