Manor Court of Maryville seeks more than $140,000 for cost of care

EDWARDSVILLE – A residential care services provider alleges a Troy individual has failed to pay for his care.

Manor Court of Maryville filed a complaint on Feb. 23 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Stephen Szakielo, alleging he failed to perform his contractual obligation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 20, 2015, the defendant entered into a contract with Liberty Village for residential care services. To date, the defendant is obligated to pay the plaintiff an amount of $145,697, plus interest, the suit states. 

The plaintiff alleges Szakielo failed and refused to cooperate in applying for assistance in paying for the services provided by the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks damages in the amount of $145,697, plus interest, attorney's fees, costs and all further relief as the court may deem just and proper.
