Car accident 35

EDWARDSVILLE – An Edwardsville resident alleges she was injured in a collision when another driver disobeyed a stop sign at an intersection.

Lacresta McElroy filed a complaint on Jan. 30 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Austin J. McEwen, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 20, 2017, she was traveling in an easterly direction at the intersection of St. Louis and West Union streets in Edwardsville when the defendant recklessly proceeded to drive through the intersection and collided with her vehicle.

She alleges she suffered severe and permanent injuries to her body, and was caused to experience pain and suffering, lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges McEwen failed to obey a traffic stop sign, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed yield to the right of way to avoid colliding with other vehicles.

The plaintiff seeks judgment in her favor of more than $50,000 plus costs of court.

She is represented by Brian M. Wendler, Angie Zinzilietta and Paul E.H. Rademacher of Wendler Law PC in Edwardsville.
