Car accident 39

BELLEVILLE – A man alleges he was injured in a collision in Centreville when another driver disobeyed a traffic control device.

Joe A. Hardges filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Derrick Stewart, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 17, 2016, he was operating a motor vehicle at 43rd Street and Piggott Avenue in Centreville when the defendant negligently caused his vehicle to collide with Hardges' vehicle.

He claims he suffered injuries and damages, pain and suffering, lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Stewart failed to maintain proper lookout for other vehicles on the road, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and failed to obey a traffic control device.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant in an amount of more than $50,000, plus costs of this suit and any further relief that the court may deem just and equitable.

He is represented by Blake G. Meinders of Blake G. Meinders Law Office in Belleville.
