Motorcycle rider alleges injuries from Edwardsville rear-end collision

EDWARDSVILLE – A Dorsey man is seeking damages after he was struck while riding his motorcycle in Edwardsville.

Stephan Jones filed a complaint on Dec. 28 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Ronald Gray and R. A. Gray Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 23, 2016, he was riding a motorcycle on Route 159 in Edwardsville when he was rear-ended by a pickup truck being driven by Gray while he was in the course and scope with his employment with R. A. Gray. 

The plaintiff alleges he sustained injuries to numerous parts of his body and was caused to endure pain and suffering and loss of enjoyment of life. 

The plaintiff alleges Gray failed to keep the vehicle under proper control, failed to maintain proper lookout and failed to stop or reduce speed to avoid striking plaintiff's motorcycle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants in an amount of more than $50,000 plus costs of the suit.
