Driver, passenger allege injuries from Alton collision

Car accident 43

EDWARDSVILLE – Two individuals are suing an Edwardsville woman for allegedly causing an Alton collision.

Heather Harris and Michael Harris filed a complaint on Dec. 4 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Katherine Lask, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Dec. 10, 2015, Heather Harris was driving eastbound on Landmarks Boulevard near its intersection with U.S. 67 in Alton with Michael Harris as passenger when their vehicle was struck by the defendant.

The plaintiffs allege Lask failed to keep her vehicle under proper control, failed to brake her vehicle in time to avoid striking another vehicle and failed steer her vehicle to avoid collision.

The plaintiffs seek judgment for a sum of more than $50,000, plus costs of suit.

They are represented by Samuel A. Mormino Jr. of Mormino, Velloff and Snider PC in Alton.
