Car accident 16

EDWARDSVILLE – An Alton man alleges he was injured when another driver ran a stop sign.

William Strate and Cynthia Strate filed a complaint on Nov. 27 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Otis L. Anderson, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Jan. 28, 2015, William Strate was driving a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser traveling westbound on Union Street near its intersection with Liberty Street in Alton when Anderson suddenly struck the front of his vehicle.

William Strate alleges he sustained severe and permanent injuries to his head, neck, back and ribs. Cynthia Strate alleges she suffered the loss of society, service and support of her husband.

The plaintiffs allege Anderson negligently disregarded the traffic stop sign and failed to yield to the right of way.

The plaintiffs seek actual damages of more than $50,000, plus interest and costs of this action.

They are represented by Leonard P. Cervantes, Phillip A. Cervantes, Jennifer L. Suttmoeller and Michael T. Flachs of Cervantes & Associates in St. Louis.
