Woman seeks damages from Syncreon employee after parking lot collision

Car accident 26

EDWARDSVILLE – A St. Clair County woman is seeking damages after she was struck by a truck in a parking lot in Edwardsville.

Stephanie Belt filed a complaint on Nov. 21 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Joshua Norcia, Syncreon US, Inc. and Yakazi North America Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 11, she was driving in Yazaki's parking lot when she was stuck by Norcia, who was operating a truck while performing his duties as an employee with Syncreon.

As a result, Belt claims she sustained physical injuries, loss enjoyment of life and incurred medical bills.

The plaintiff alleges Norcia failed to keep a proper look out for other vehicles in the parking lot and failed to properly slow down and stop so as to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff seeks judgment in an amount greater than $50,000, and further relief as the court deems just and proper.

She is represented by Derek J. Siegel of Kuehn, Beasley & Young PC in Belleville.
